O2 Monde at the Grammys

The award season is extravagant and legendary and truly upon us! It’s the time of year when the stars of film, television, and music put on their best fashions and take a walk down the infamous “red carpet”. Every new award ceremony, admit it or not, we can’t contain our excitement to see what everyone is wearing and “who” they are wearing. Funky suits, glamorous dresses, bold colors, metallics, thigh-high slits, gloves, diamonds, and of course bold shoe choices. We here at O2 Monde of course believe your choice of footwear can make or break your look, from pumps, sky-high stilettos, sneakers, platforms, or sandals, it must make a statement and be on point!

For the 64th Annual Grammy Awards show on April 3rd, 2022 our very own CELIA slingback made her first red carpet debut. Classical guitarist, Christina Sandsengen showed up to the 2022 Grammy’s with her shoe game clearly on. She accessorized her standout sparkling red gown with a plunging back by Paola Estefania with O2 Monde’s Silver Vegan slingback, CELIA. The gorgeous silver hue of CELIA played off her ruby red gown, thus creating a memorable Grammy fashion moment!

Our beloved CELIA Slingback has a flair for the dramatic of course, its namesake Celia Hunter has a reputation as one of the most fearless environmentalists and conservationists of her era. A truly progressive vegan upper with an embellished Y strap, nothing better to party the night away! CELIA is made in part with Pinatex, a supple, durable, resistant vegan leather fabricated from felted pineapple-leaf fibers, and PLA, a bio-plastic sourced from renewable resources. Because pineapple leaves are traditionally discarded or burned, the closed-loop fabric’s source material requires no additional land, water, pesticides, or fertilizers. It also provides rural pineapple farmers with additional income and leftover biomass, produced by the separation process, which can be employed as fertilizer. Furthermore, Pinatex dyes are GOTS certified and its resins comply with AFIRM standards. What’s not to love?
