Who doesn’t love animals? The human-animal bond is unique and special, it brings us joy and comfort, many studies have shown it improves the health and well-being of both not to mention the companionship aspect. We honor and respect those individuals who dedicate their lives to rescue and care for precious animals all over the world through sanctuary and shelter work. What are a real animal sanctuary and an animal shelter? Many people confuse the two because of misinformation, and the names sound so similar. Both are in pursuit to save and help homeless and rescued animals but they operate very differently. Shelters are a temporary home for animals until a new home can be found, whereas sanctuaries serve as a more permanent, lifelong solution for the animals.
We here at O2 Monde are passionate about all animals and love visiting animal sanctuaries when traveling, and we hope you feel the same. We also want to share about the important, benevolent work being done at these incredible facilities all over the country, providing humane protections and a compassionate, peaceful lifestyle to all types of vulnerable animals. The animals are free to roam and carry out their natural animal instincts while never worrying about food or shelter. They have rescued animals that otherwise would have been abused or killed, former lab animals, and specific species that are under dire threat of extinction. Discover how animal sanctuaries educate, inspire and empower all of us to live a vegan lifestyle, make a difference in the environment in hopes of a more healthy and promising future all while helping animals in need. All animals deserve a loving and unthreatened life no matter what!
